L a n d S t a g e s collective project
L a n d S t a g e s collective project invites a variable group of multidisciplinary artists to co-create site-responsive outdoor/indoor performances and installations. The project expands the original duo of Sabine Vogel and Emilio Gordoa, and aims to develop a symbiotic sonic environment alongside natural sonic landscapes. The variable group of artists integrates sensitively into the existing working environments and becomes part of the acoustic ecosystem without dominating it. Another focus of the project is to find ways of transferring the outdoor experiences into indoor spaces.
The collective project started in 2021 when four like-minded artists – Lena Czerniawska, Emilio Gordoa, Sabine Vogel and Biliana Voutchkova – played as a quartet in Paretz, producing an outdoor recording for Radio Kapital. As a continuation, the project bridges the work of artists coming from different artistic disciplines, finding common ground in their never-ending inspiration drawn from various soundscapes and ecological environments worldwide. The work is sustainable and mindful with zero waste, recycling all natural materials back to nature and reusing all other props for future activities. The multidisciplinary profile of the project is wide open to experimentation, following an intuitive approach where each individual creates in symbiosis, overcoming the deficit of any pre-existing genre-defining boundaries.

Seetönen
Klanglandschaften 2023, Briesesee, Brandenburg
Seetönen is a site-specific performance intervention. It took place around the Briesesee as part of the Klanglandschaften Festival 2023. The audience was invited to walk around, listen, observe and follow the performers. They created individual and group actions around and in the lake. Sounds emerged from various directions, some natural, some mixed with sounding instruments and frequencies recorded underwater. A boat on the lake glittered and transformed. Hearing, listening, seeing and perceiving.

Shared Space of the Liberated Sound
White Cube Gallery, Toplocentrala Sofia, 2023
The L a n d S t a g e s collective project created the installation part of Biliana Voutchkova's Shared Space of the Liberated Sound, first presented in September 2023 over three consecutive days, supported by the Goethe-Institut Bulgaria and the Polish Institut Sofia. The event focuses on open co-creation and site specificity, taking shape through a collaborative process with invited participating artists. They gather for at least one day prior to the event to develop shared material and structure through experimentation, followed by 1 to 5 days of live interventions alongside the installations. The process emphasises attentive listening and collective resonance, merging individual expression into a shared sonic space.
`
The exhibition included various audio visual installations, screened videos, sculptures made from natural materials collected in Bulgaria and small mechanical motors, wall applications and written texts alongside an aural multichannel composition played through a set of discreet small speakers and various live interventions.
